Greatest Comeback of All Time!!!!

Rockies first in modern era to score nine runs in bottom of 9th for win

ESPN  DENVER -- Seth Smith struggled to remember what had just happened, it was all such a blur.

The ninth inning began with the Colorado Rockies down six runs and ended with him rounding the bases and getting mobbed by his delirious teammates following a colossal comeback for the history books.
"Baseball's crazy, even stupid sometimes," Smith said after his three-run homer off Ryan Franklin with two outs in the ninth capped a nine-run rally Tuesday night that gave the Rockies a 12-9 win over the stunned St. Louis Cardinals.

"It's just one of those things, tomorrow he could come out and be nails and we go three up and three down."
No team in the modern era had ever scored nine runs in the bottom of the ninth to win a game, according to STATS LLC, whose data goes back to 1918.

Well I'll be honest, I was at this game and I really didn't think they had a chance.  The whole game they were getting baserunners on, but could never get anybody home.  I thought it was over, but sure enough, the rockies pulled it off.  If you don't think this team has a little bit of magic, you haven't been paying attention.

On a sidenote, I sat in left field and Holliday was received well.  There were some boos when he was introduced and of course some heckling, but for the most part, I think Rockies fans were really respectful.  Holliday also threw out a bunch of baseballs after warmups to the fans in the left field bleachers.  Right on dude.
