Soccer in Denver

Denver has a strong tradition in all sports - including soccer.

The state of Colorado has over 65,000 registered players in the Colorado Youth Soccer Association, and many more in adult leagues across the state.
The Colorado Rapids were one of the charter members of Major League Soccer and have been a successful team ever since. The Rapids' home, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, is the world's largest soccer stadium & fields complex.

I'm a Soccer fan as much as the next guy, meaning I only care once every 4 years as long as the US isn't eliminated yet.  However, Denver has a huge soccer population , and I think this would be great for the city.  Not only would it drive in tourist revenue for the city (not just the mountains) but it would give us a chance to show off our gorgeous city to the whole world.

I also think it would be a blast to go to these games.  They always show Americans just rip roaring drunk on TV in some country on the other side of the world and I'm jealous.  I can't afford to travel to South Africa, but I can afford to get to Dicks Sporting Goods Park.  I can get drunk at odd hours of the day.  I can wear American flag stuff!  So sign me up.  As long as that stupid ass Vuvuzela thing is done, I'm all for getting the games here.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
