Labor Day weekend is already upon us. Quick question: Where did the summer go?
Anyway, if you are in Downtown Denver this weekend, check out A Taste of Colorado in Civic Center Park. This is the place every year where local Denver restaurants get a chance to showcase their food to the herds of people that come down to experience many of Denver's great restaurants all at once.
It is also a time to check out a bunch of live bands. This year, the headliners include Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Brett Michaels of Poison, amongst many other local and national acts on 4 stages over the whole weekend.
This will be a great place to people watch, especially the people stuck in the 80s that will come out to watch the old ass bands that will be performing. Expect sleeveless shirts and mullets at the Brett Michaels show, and the occasional cowboy hat.
I personally would check out Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, only because they were in one of my favorite movies ever...Swingers. "It's you and me and a bottle make three tonight!"
But, I'll be in Vegas watching the Badgers tear up UNLV to kick off the college football season.
Go Badgers!
