Tonight: Justice League of Street Food's '80s party

Westword Blog - The third Justice League of Street Food party is upon us.
Tonight, in a lot behind the ballpark at 29th and Huron Street, the Deluxe Little Orange Rocket, the Inventing RoomSully's Slice Truck, the Cupcake TruckBiker Jim's,Steuben'sthe Biscuit BusPinche TacosSteamin' Demon and the Gastro Cart will be serving up their regular truck menus in addition to some one-night-only specials, many of which will be tasting-size portions that cost just a buck or two. And as usual, Great Divide Brewing Co will provide the beer.
And this time, the party has an '80s theme, which means the DJ, the Denver Film Society and, hopefully, you, will celebrate the years of Madonna, Molly Ringwald, David Bowie and Risky Business.
So wear your '80s gear, and if you think you've got the best costume of all, be at the DJ booth by 6:30 p.m., where our esteemed panel of judges will choose one decked-out diner who'll get to eat and drink for free for the rest of the event.
The party goes from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Ok....this sounds like an AWESOME time!  I am going to try to convince my group of folks to go to this.  I mean, how can you go wrong?
Let's evaluate:
Great Divide Beer:  Awesome
Street Vendor Food:  Awesome
On a Friday:  Awesome
80s Music:  Awesome
Costume Contest:  Awesome

I mean, these are like my favorite things in life.  Anybody with me?  Lets go get drunk and listen to awesome tunes and fill our faces with Stubens and Biker Jims!
P.S.....I had a Biker Jim's dog for the first time in my life last Saturday.  Let me tell you, holy fucking crap!  The Elk Jalapeño Cheddar brat was impeccable, something about the caramelized onions and the cream cheese....I think I blacked out.
Anyway, this all goes down tonight behind the ballpark, a great way to kick off the weekend.
See ya there!
