DENVER -- Dante Bichette will never be forgotten in Rockies lore. Now he's a part of the club's present.
Bichette will represent his former club at the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft in which will be televised live on MLB Network at 5 p.m. MT on June 7 from MLB Network's Studio 42 in Secaucus, N.J. Before that telecast, at 4 p.m. MT, MLB Network and MLB.com will simulcast a Draft preview show with Greg Amsinger, Harold Reynolds, John Hart, Peter Gammons, MLB.com senior writer Jonathan Mayo and Baseball America magazine senior editor John Callis.
To be honest, I don't really care about the MLB draft at all. I mean, wasn't the big hype last year about that Strasburg kid who can pitch 103 mph going to the nationals? And he hasn't even been in a game yet. Unlike the NFL draft, the MLB draft usually happens without the casual fan even knowing the results or the impact it could have.
But I wanted to take this opportunity to remember Dante Bichette.
How do you not love the guy who came out to Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer? His walk off homer in the 14th vs the Mets on Coors Field opening day in 1995 will go down in Rockies history as one of the most memorable plays in the Rockies history. So Dante, whatever decisions you make in the MLB draft, I believe I speak for all of Colorado when I say, we trust you.

P.S. What's with Tulo walking up to the plate to Miley Cyrus? Really dude? You're embarrassing yourself.
