What is up with The Rockies?

The Rockies just finished an 11 game road trip following the All Star Break an astonishing 2-9.  What the hell guys?  You were super hot going into the break, almost sweeping the Padres for a share of the lead in the division.  Now  you have FALLEN to 8 games back in the division and 4.5 games back of the wild card.

Now I know what you're saying, there is still a lot of baseball to be played.  And i'm not in panic mode yet, but this is unacceptable.  If you are going to have a chance, you have to go out and win on the road.  Ubaldo looked like shit on Saturday, only pitching 2 innings and getting worked for 6 earned runs.  The Rockies have only been a .500 team since Tulo has been out.  Giambi isn't as good as he was.  The Rockies continue to surrender late game leads.  Street can't hold onto a game to save his life.  It just seems to all be falling apart.

The good news is that I still believe in this team, and I'm convinced they will make a playoff run.  But there is a ton of work to be done to catch up to where we were before the break.  We need to get people healthy.  We need Tulo back, we need Helton back, we need Jimenez back, and we need Street back.  If that doesn't happen, it's the Padres division and the Giants wild card.

The Rockies look to bounce back tonight at home vs the Pirates.  De La Rosa (3-2) vs Duke (4-9)  First pitch at 6:40
