This weekend kicks off the 3rd annual Mile High Music Festival. Should be hot as hell and a mess to get out of since you can't camp. I wanted to go just so I could walk around cocky all weekend and say how it isn't as good as Bonnaroo was, but unfortunately the Brewers are in town this weekend, so I have prior obligations.
Recommendations: I would definitely check out Damien Marley & Nas. They sounded great at Bonnaroo, and I forgot how many songs Nas actually has done since I was in high school. "You can hate me now, but I wont stop now." Haha that song was the jam.
Also hit Weezer, they were a blast at the Roo. They played all their hits and did a killer cover of MGMT's "Kids" and mixed in a Lady Gaga cover as well. The lead singer wore a wig during the Lady Gaga cover....hilarious.
If I was there, I would get all decked out in Badger gear and get front row for Steve Miller Band. Then take about 45 shots of Rumpleminze during Swingtown. But thats just me.
But if you're going, stay cool and hydrated. Make sure you aren't too drunk to navigate out of there. Although I heard they have made some changes so its easier to get out of, but who knows. There is only 1 way in and 1 way out, so good luck.
